Best tune
Hi guys,
I just bought a 2016 s500(550) and thinking of getting a tune.
1. how is the car with the tune?
2. What is the best tune to get?
Thanks in advance ☺

I use OETUNING in Orange county CA. I've used them for 5-6 cars and they give me an insanely discounted price. I bought the MyGenius along with the tune to convert it back and fourth, since I have a extended CPO warranty and did it myself, in all of 10 minutes. They are the best and I use regular gas. The fuel economy is now at 29-34 on the freeway but in town it still sucks. As for the difference in power, it now feels like it isn't being held back anymore. Worth every dollar!!!!!!

I've got the OE Tune in my car. Also had it in my previous GL550. I can state firmly that their tunes don't make anywhere near the HP and torque claims that they claim on their website for the 4.7 bi-turbo motors. You likely gain about 30-40 HP with them. But for just $800 including the tuner, I guess it isn't horrible. The gains are so minimal that it likely isn't putting any stress on the motor or other components. So there's that.
If you want to spend a little more and get gains that meet or exceed the company claims, then you may want to check out Eurocharged. They are much cheaper than other companies like Renntech and seem to offer better performance and have a great reputation. If I had to do it again, I would buck up for Eurocharged.

I did the Renntech. It's not cheap, but you can enable and disable it yourself and don't have to send in your ECU. Performance is amazing, not AMG levels but a huge difference from stock.
