Is the Lower Chrome trim glued on?
I'm looking at some S550's and I hate chrome, but not all have the AMG pack. Does anyone know if the lower chrome trim on the doors and rear bumper is just glued on? Or is it clipped on? I know on the E class it's glued on. I was wondering if I did buy one, if I could just remove it with a heat gun/ fishing line

I would just wrap it, I was going to wrap the chrome trim on my S63 but the chrome is now growing on me. Kinda like it. Wrapping the two side pieces is around 150 bucks if you go that route.

I don't think the above posts are correct. I think the bumper portion uses clips, but the door portion is stuck-on. I cannot imagine MB using 2 different sets of doors for that tiny trim.
