Does anybody know if a 2013 W221 S63 spare tire fit a 2018 W222 S63 with Carbon Ceramic brakes? TIA
Okay I have to ask what is TIA?? as for your question, I would think that it wouldn't given you have a S63 that is sitting I would guess on 20's or 22's, what is the wheel size of that spare?
He's saying "thanks in advance" ... numerous issues on spare tire fitment ... good start would be what are the specs for the 2018 w/CC brakes? Then how do those compare to the 2013 W221 version. Immediate issue would be whether the W221 spare fits over the brake caliper and rotor ... from there, tire diameter would have to be at least somewhat close. And finally, if all else checks out, you'd want to verify the length of wheel bolts required with the 2013 wheel.
I keep a temp spare for my Porsche 928 that's from a 996. Glad to say it clears the brakes and I've actually used it for a short distance to verify it works. But that was just trial and error. If I were the OP I might just try putting on the W221 spare to be sure that it works. If not you could just sell it to someone else.

You don't need a spare tire. Those are for neurotic people, of which there apparently are a few in this forum since this subject has been broached quite a few times.
Get this and you'll be just fine.

That is my concern since 2018 S63 with Carbon Ceramic have larger brake rotors than 2013 S63. I wanted to know if anyone has tried this before.Originally Posted by Tom in Austin
