So, did a little digging, and Valeo is the manufacturer of the OEM wipers. In fact, they are the company that developed the system for Mercedes:

Valeo Wiper Systems
What: VisioBlade® System
Judge's Citation: Valeo's VisioBlade®, introduced on the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL, is a high-efficiency adaptive windshield washer system that uses internal ducting and an intelligent pump to distribute washer fluid along the leading edge of the blade. The VisioBlade system is at the heart of Mercedes Magic Vision Control's intelligent wash programs that tailor the use of washer fluid in winter, summer, high speed and Cabriolet (top down) scenarios to maximize driver safety and visibility while using the least amount of washer fluid. Valeo's precise spacing, laser-cut discharge openings along the entire length of the blade, and the intelligent pump allow Valeo to deliver dramatically improved cleaning performance while using half the cleaning fluid of conventional systems. Mercedes leveraged VisioBlade's performance and efficiency to reduce the washer reservoir in the SL by 1.7L with a corresponding CO2 emission friendly 1.7kg weight reduction. Mercedes will also offer a heated version of the VisioBlade that eliminates the ice/snow buildup on wiper blades in harsh winter climates.

You can get it from Mercedes for $141 here : https://www.mercedespartscenter.com/...Y2LWdhcw%3D%3D
It's nice to know original manufacturer, but for $30 difference and headache where to get them ? I'd go to MB website and get it there.

Is there any online seller in the USA, maybe that's the best way to ask it. Amazon has a bunch of Valeo wiper blads on their website but not these.

Per OP - he paid $92 plus 20% tax in Europe, so its about $110.

I purchased an OEM set from FCP Euro this winter and will get a free new set every year for as long as I own the car. This seems like a no brainer for anyone who is keeping their ride for more than a few years. I plan on keeping mine for 5 years minimum so this will work well for me.

Can I partially highjack and also ask for a favour? Here's my question: Are you guys generally happy with the magic vision wipers (original or not)?
I am having a hard time getting the wipers to effectively clean bug splatters when I'm on the motorway. With a traditional wiper system where the water is sprayed from the bonnet, it kinda gives the splatter a bit more time to seep (because there's more time available for the water to stay on the splatter before the wiper does its pass). With the MV ones the water is wiped almost as soon as it's sprayed and the end result is that splatter stays there and since the blade kinda skips over it, it can't even remove the rest of the water properly. In the summer especially, I have to stop after long trips and use a windshield spray. Oh, all the glass is clear-coated as well, but that doesn't make any difference.
Thanks and sorry for the highjacking!

in addition to really not doing anything other than smearing bugs across the windscreen, it seems to take an age for washer fluid to start flowing, like 4-5 seconds. Does anyone else have this experience? With a traditional system you press the button and washer fluid hits the windscreen, but dang it takes a while!
We stopped for gas, and they didn’t have squeegees, so I ended up using bottled water and paper napkins to clean it. Off to Walmart later to pickup a cheap squeegee to throw in the trunk.

Thanks, I’ll take a closer look once I get home. I did find a nice little rain-x scrubbing sponge at Walmart today for less than $4, now I have the tools to clean off bug splatter if needed!

Honestly, I always just make do with the bugs. I have found any washer and wiper use on any car I've ever had just smears them around,

Mine takes about a second for fluid to start coming out, and that's with a brand-new pump.
I actually did not realize the intent of the system is to actually wash your windshield. I'm used to other cars where the idea is just to knock down the crud enough to see until next time you stop for gas. The reservoir is huge, must hold a gallon or more of fluid, so appears they intended it to be used much more than that.
It does a very nice job and cleans most of the windshield, but still not something I'm inclined to use regularly.

I’m in Florida this week and the bugs are everywhere (and it’s not even love bug season). The problem is that the bugs just get smeared across the windscreen and leave a streak, and that streak stays. In previous cars, a good dousing of washer fluid and it’s not this bad.
Maybe I’ll invest in a new set of wiper blades and see if that does the trick! I’ve not had the car long, but had no issues with MV before this week, maybe it’s Florida? 🤣

Hey, btw Will, 28.3 mpg is really terrific for an S-class. Is that higher than what you normally see or do you consider it a repeatable number? My V8 has been in the mid/upper 25 range at times on long trips, but A/C season is really knocking it down now.

I drove from GA to NC with four of us in the car, on my way to FL, and with the additional luggage (& kids) I got 25, once I dropped the kids at camp, with the bags, the wife and I drove to FL, which is where we got 28. I was very pleased, it’s not far off my old CLS400, and the S is bigger and more luxurious!

This is from the last trip I took in mine. This is cruising at 80, first 120 miles were in the mountains and the last 40 miles had some bumper to bumper traffic, gas mileage is super impressive

From recollection I had 587 miles/63 mph/28.3 mph, I don’t recall drive time.

I have not as I got a new set as part of a 30K service that the previous owner had paid for that I did not know about until I was talking with my service advisor. Will probably exchange at the end of this coming summer.
