2018 VS 2019 VS 2020
I am looking to purchase an S560 and have found a 2018 with 25K miles that fills the bill. Is there any reason to reject the 2018 in favor of the 2019 or 2020 other than warranty term? Thanks

In that case I would recommend the 2019. I learned from my C240 not to buy in the first model year. My 2020 had a minor problem with COMAND shutting off. Seems to be fixed by software. And a recall on low pressure fuel line.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
I have a 2018 and no issues. The only real advantage to a 2019 is it uses the mercedes me connect app which is more like a two way communication app where you can check things with the car such as is it locked fuel level,, etc. Other than that no much difference. Main thing would be to get the options you are looking at. My car has pretty much everything and really like all the extra features like night vision, Magic ride body control, 3D audio etc.

Last time I got a car with 30,000 miles because it had Distronic. This time I wanted a DVD changer but in the end I got a very low mileage car without it, and without the fridge. Damn! My car was supposedly a diplomatic car according to CarFax. That’s kind of cool. I’m waiting for my custom plates to get here.

I’m up to 50k miles and bought it 2 years ago with 16k miles. Yes I bought a ext mb warranty from mb of Santa Rosa. I think it was 5k. Erin is good to work with at mb of Santa Rosa CA. I think it’s good for an additional 3 years unlimited miles.

2018 or 2019 was the year the fuddy duddy steering wheel went away. Take note of steering wheel to be sure it doesn't bother you if it's the oldster two-spoke wheel.

My last S was a 2015 and I racked up 55K miles with no issues over 6 years. Just replaced brakes and tires and did oil changes. I did replace one strut but that was around 500 bucks and it was only because it made a slight cluck sound over some speed bumps. Personally I do not think you need an ELW on these cars.
