MY 18 S450V RWD Diamond White
Robb, I am a healthy young 80. Bought my first mb when I was 70. Stopped at a local mb dealer with a friend that needed a part. Started looking around and found a beautiful, loaded up cardinal red E 350. Drove it home that evening. Big mb fan ever since.

48, been driving Mercedes for about 10 years, I got my S Class this year. Where to go next? 🤔
My wife wants me to get a white S Class, I’ve always had black MBZ, so maybe an S560 is in my future 🤷🏻♂️

My wife’s car is the W222 S350, she came from a W205 C200, she is 31. We enjoy the car because we really appreciate the safety elements of the vehicle.

Got my first MB, a 2004 E-500 Wagon 2009 at age 52.
At age 20 however I was driving MB taxi cabs in Europe, learned to like them after a few years doing 16 hour shifts mostly
nights in snow and ice before we had anti-lock brakes and 4-wheel drive.
(C-220 Diesel, C-240 Diesel and C-300 Diesel, the first 2 were 4-cylinder with manual tranny, the 300 was 5-cylinder and automatic)
I was the youngest cab driver in the country, did all my exams and testing at age 19 and picked up my taxi chauffeur license at the local police
station 1 minute after I turned 20: Midnight.
Minimum age for commercial driving was 20 and We had to learn every street in town as well as all the restaurants,
hotels and hospitals. memorizes 800 streets or thereabouts, then started driving a Mercedes C-240 Diesel with a uniform jacket and shirt/tie.
Big deal..

62 but look 42. Drove mom's 1987 260E age 40 when family flew to NYC for summers and Christmas Holidays. Brother sells high end used cars. 20-years ago we drove up two Bentleys from Brooklyn to cousins in Poughkeepsie for Thanksgiving and passed a bewildered SL500 driver on the FDR Drive...lol
Been a GM Employee since late 1980s until they kicked all Legacy Hughes folk off the Discount Purchase Program in 2019. Placed order for AMG Wagon following year and got it 15- months later May 2021. No CT5V Blackwing Manual for me!
Got CDL age 51 for Mobile Radar Field Engineering Gig OCONUS...retired first age 55 then again 59.5 from West Texas Oilfields. Daughter and Wife voted me off retirement island and Waffle House in 2017 when daughter turned down full ride to Georgia Tech for $72K MIT. Kept NM Residence just in case Son got accepted to Columbia University and I needed to return to Missile Range for High Energy Laser Lethality missions against targets in the news.
Dream car is 2020 AMG S63 Coupe...might get one when Son graduates KSU in Marietta GA 2026.

Just reached social security "Full Retirement Age" this month.
The older I get, the crazier other drivers seem to be, so I'm glad wife and I are in the S550 and a little more protected from the world around us!
