I literally took my 2016 S550 into the dealer yesterday to look at a cracked antifreeze reservoir as well as some codes i had been getting for the cats and they found this...
wiring harness soaked in oil, engine control unit needs replacement. i am still under CPO but if you are not please consider doing this...

Since this problem is apparently somewhat common, does anyone know why, other than cost, MBZ doesn't install these "sacrificial pigtails" as a routine service campaign? Their problem; their solution.

Well this is news, I thought this ended with the 272/273, I had a 276 to 125k without any sign of this so surprised to hear its back
