Help, center control switch s550

Good evening,

I have been stumped with a problem that maybe someone can help.. my center control and my touchpad both stopped working…I am almost sure nothing leaked on them but I find it strange that both stopped working.. on the center control switch only the hazard lights button works. I can’t access any other buttons.. pls help

Nothing works accept the hazard lights button

Check f331 (5A) @ interior fuse panel if fine, pull for several minutes in an attempt to reset. If this fails have someone pull codes using Xentry (MB diagnostics).

I also ran through xentry and no fault codes… the lights on the buttons aren’t laminated, only the hazard light button

If I had to guess your problem is on CAN A conection as the hazards work through the front SAM IIRC.

This is the connection to the center control, is it suppose to be missing a pin?

With xentry can you communicate with the control unit?
Any CAN errors?

Don't have xentry Sim available here, front central operating unit. Connected through CAN A.

Yes that's not good
Have you had anything coded recently?
It should not have changed to not installed on its own
