Harsh downshift into 4th ‘16 7 speed

Hello all recently bought a cpo’16 W222 s550 with ~30K miles love everything about it but recently started downshifting very harshly into 4th when cold. Once warm it becomes far less pronounced but there have been two that were pretty jarring.

anyone run into similar issues with their 7 speed’s? Is it a worrying sign of things to come or don’t worry about it until it needs service.

Thanks in advance for any insight

That was happening with my '16 S550 Coupe. I had the software updated by my dealer and it was definitely improved. It still is slightly noticeable when cold but much better when warmed up. Good luck!

My transmission improved some after having the fluid change service. Wouldn't call it a fix, but was nice to have it behaving better.

I had the software update and fluid flushed at last B service and it improved a lot, but every once in a while I still get it. I think it is "as designed' unforunatley, if I didn't love everything else about my S-Class I guess I would have dumped it when the dumping was good and I could have gotten all my $$ back after using the car for 2-3 years. Now used car values are not what they were a year ago and I am glad that I still get to drive this car.

Fuild flush was the biggest improvement by far, I had a couple of downshifts before the flush and software update where I thought I had been rear-ended
