I’m sure it’s in the manual, but …
With my W222 ‘18 S560, since I don’t like or ever open a sun roof, I’m completely unfamiliar with how to operate them.
Does the inner back seat roof panel close ?
How? Can you tell me or give me a manual page reference?
I looked under every index heading I could of and haven’t found anything yet.
Thank you!

While I don't have an answer the title made me laugh as you'll get the one guy that says to RTFM haha!
What is it about sunroofs you don't care for? That's always the second button I hit when I get in my car.

Pleaseed I gave you a moment of pleasure, but otherwise…
For a feature for which I have no use, especially for the back seats, and, just like the fancy radio, they add thousands of dollars of unnecessary cost to my wheels.

This is 2018 W222 manual from MBUSA website.
https://www.mbusa.com/content/dam/mb...n_Operator.pdf
Start with p.77 and onward and see if it helps (for sunroof operation).

Thanks so very much for the reference, AND for the manual .pdf.
The major section heading, "OPENING AND CLOSING." nor "Sliding sunroof" entered my mind to look at when I went through the Index. Different cultures think differently.
As it turned out, we were able to operate the roof using the button control at the front seat 's rear view mirror. Our rear seat passengers were unable to successfully operate it with the switch control on the left rear passenger's door. I have not yet tried it myself, but certainly shall.
As said, "I'm sure it's in the manual..."
Gratefully yours

Gotta laugh ... last year we took some friends out to look at Christmas lights. They were sitting in back and asked, how do we open up the shades on the windows and the sunroof?

The circled button opens and closes the shade for the rear glass

As posted, we learned that.
The issue not is: Making sure the left-side back seat button functions as shown in the manual functions or not.

It does function.
The rear seat window, roof control button had been turned off at the driver’s door.
My wife now does most of our driving and didn’t think about that.
All is now copacetic.
Thanks everyone!

Being pedantic here, but if you have the Magic Sky option, that button controls the pigment of both moonroofs and you don't have the option to control those separately (the button that opens the front also controls the rear too).

Wouldn't it be nicer it if were a written script "rear" for the rear sunshade and "front" for the front panorama roof ?
Kinda off topic but I think I have to add something as well. Why there's no chrome frame or accents surrounding those buttons ? It would be much nicer to me
