Dashboard sign explained
Greetings,
I saw this sign on my S560 2018 Progressive Dashboard and didn't find any explanation in the owner manual.
Does anybody knows what that is and why the beam in the picture is only on one side?
Thanks,
Klaus

Looks like a blind spot indicator since it's coming off the mirror. You probably had an object in your LH blind spot at the time.
Now I have to see if mine does it on Progressive.

Mine has no indicator like that anywhere. It is related to Blind Spot.
Does it change color when a vehicle is in the blind spot or change in any other way?
Does the symbol go out if you turn off Blind Spot in the menus?
Different specs I guess.
Hope it's not a failure indicator.

The radar like waves are white when the car is not moving and turn yellow after driving for a couple of seconds.
I will check the hint with turning off blind spot in the menu and see what happens.

That's the status of your Blind Spot Assist. However, not sure why yours is yellow. The radar waves are supposed to be gray if the Blind Spot Assist is activated and turn green if it's actively working. If the right side is missing that could mean your right side blind spot assist isn't actually working. They don't show the actual graphic in the owner's manual, but for my 2019 C63 I have radar waves on both sides and they are gray/green as explained in the owner's manual. I don't use the assistance graphic much, though.

We are coming closer.
I turned off the "active Blind Spot" assist in vehicle settings and the sign turned off. Turned it on and the sign was back on.
Also the red triangles in the mirrors don't show when it is off. (Makes sense I guess)
The radar waves are grey when the car is standing, turned yellow after some seconds driving.
This all without cars close by.
I still need to check if the color changes to green when it detects a car.
And if the radar waves show up at the right/passenger side when it detects a car there.
