BenzNinja Mods Completed today - 2015 S63

I can't speak highly enough about @BenzNinja he is such a great guy. Here are some pictures and descriptions of what he did for me in preparation of moving from the US to Japan in 3 weeks, needed some conversions done to include changing the radio frequency.

  • BN016 _ BenzNinja ADVANCED ILS+
  • BN024 _ Sport +/Individual as default Mode when starting vehicle.
  • BN035 _ ECO Start / Stop – last active mode.
  • BN042 _ Radio Frequency Change BN050 _ Head Unit & Cluster Car conversion USA>EUR EUR-USA or other.
  • Custom Code _ Tourist Mode to switch headlights LHD to RHD

Those are some useful features, will there be an action trying a car that has a steering wheel on the left in a market that has it on the right though. I guess it is just a matter of getting used to right?

In Japan you can get any European car in either LHD or RHD. LHD is cooler to drive in Japan as most chose to have RHD cars. It's also cooler to have at car shows. I'm expecting that my Matte gray color will also be rare and unique in Japan.

Enjoy it once it arrives to you. Hopefully the paperwork and process of importing the car wasn't too challenging?

Thanks, it should be pretty straightforward since I did the conversions here. If not I'm lucky to have friends in Japan that can help me navigate any issues. Big thanks to @BenzNinja was getting the taillights converted that was a big challenge where unlike the US getting the amber turn signals on is required to be legal in Japan.

Just landed yesterday 21 hours door to door, have major jetlag so we've all been up since 1am...lol

Surprisingly the car will be here in a month shipped from NJ.

Your time there will be pleasurable.... do enjoy...

21 hours door to door is excellent.. usually 15-18 hours air time from houston to Narita for me.... usual stops in either denver or frisco... my company wouldnt foot non-stop....

Where did you fly out of.. stopover?

Next to the national car brands, you will see plenty of MB...i wonder how active the MB clubs are?

Enjoy

Flew out of Dulles, 50min layover at LAX. Japan has all kinds of Euro cars and exotics, car scene in Japan is the best in the world in my opinion especially in Tokyo. I lived in Japan for 30 years, done car shows and magazines, the car picture in my signature CLK 320 W208 I came in 3rd Place Euro Custom in Hiroshima in 2019. Sorry for the rushed response, on our way to get some Ramen
