Should i Buy S500 w222 Plug In hybrid?
I currently own a 2015 BMW X5 M50D - 381hp / 800nm. Long stoey short i had a lot of issues with the car that (spun bottom end bearing, has to buy new crankshaft) have now been fixed but i have honestly lost faith in the car. I dont thiknk you guys get this diesel version in tbe USA…
I have been offered a 2015 S500 plug in hybrid for my car and i am seriously considering swapping it. I really like the merc interior and the supreme quality.
It worries me that the s500 is on currently 151k miles and a possibility hybrid system failure in the near future…
Are there people that own s500 hybrid, can you share your experience?
Another thing is that the car has ceramic break discs? No idea why someone would soec an s500 with ceramic discs but they have done it! How expensive are the ceramic discs and what is their life expectancy ? I appreciate ir very much depends on the driving style..
Is the v6 in these reliable? What is the timing chain interval change?
Thank you in advance!

Also, not 150k miles without spotless maintenace and repair records... Even with that you are in for some expensive repairs.... Any car with 150k miles Is at risk of expensive repairs.car... thats Any car any make.... 300,000 mile volvo honda and mercedes without major work are not the norm...
How long would you plan to own it?....average miles per year?
Good luck.. The S500 hybrid is a wonderful car.. Just be careful with this particular circumstance.

Seems hybrids and EVs sometimes have strange, non-linear brakes ... I test drove a EQS a while back and using the brakes felt like stepping in play doh
