Factory Carplay (facelift) wireless conversion kit
Has anyone found a good adapter to convert the operation of the factory Apple Carplay in the facelift W222 from wired to wireless. I am seeing some good 5-stars reviews on Amazon, but historically these were too slow.
If anyone has a good experience with a fast adapter that works well, let me know. I hate to plug my phone each every-time and I use Carplay nearly 99% of the time even when not navigating.

I have tried two of them, the first one was was working sometimes, the second one ( which I still have but apparently discontinued at the moment ) is working most of the time but I decided to keep my phone always connected, so I ran a wire outside of the armrest, easy enough to connect and disconnect the phone.

We are renting quite often from Hertz while traveling in US, all kinds of brands, Ford, Kia, Chevy, Chrysler, Buick, etc.
Carplay is working flawlessly in all of them, wired or bluetooth, the only one that sometimes is not working is in....my S560 !

I am using Ottocast in my 2018 SL560 and my 2017 S550. I LOVE it. Just plug it into the USB socket in the compartment between your seats and it will 100% automatically install itself on your vehicle. Buy it, try it. If you don't like it, return to Amazon for a 100% refund. It integrates perfectly for you to run Android Auto. If you want Apple Carplay, Ottocast makes a similar device for Carplay. You get into your car, start the car and within 60 seconds it automatically connects to your phone wirelessly.

I've had the same experiences when renting. My 2017 doesn't have any WCP or AA ability, but I thought the facelift W222's came with wireless Android Auto and Carplay. My wife's 2021 Venza has them, but it isn't wireless. I wouldn't describe the process of connecting the cable bothersome to connect it, but it definitely isn't convenient.
