Mount fixed charging socket in the engine compartment for charging the car battery
Want to install a fixed charging socket (picture 1) in the engine compartment to charge the car battery with my CTEK charger from the grill in the front (picture 3) without having to open the hood.
Where can I mount the plus cable from the indicator panel (picture 1) to the electrical center (picture 4)
If you open up the box that has the red positive charging post cover, there are several posts there that go directly to the battery. Meter it out and pick the one you want. Just make sure you install an inline fuse on the new line.
For mine, I still open the hood, but I took a thick copper wire and wound it around the negative with a piece sticking out from under the plastic covering.
This way I don't have to remove the plastic piece to get to the negative.
Then I have a thick piece of rubber I rest the latch on, so hood isnt open all the way, but still open enough to not interfere with the charger clamps.

Good idea, please absolutely go high quality on the weather proof closure.
Id almost be tempted to enclose it in a second weather proof closure..
good idea though
