Its all in the eye of the photographer.
maybe i wanted the bridge to be bright in one and the S to be bright in another…..
maybe i wanted to include the cliff and trees for a bit of a wild look…

Maybe, maybe, maybe...
Maybe horse feathers..
If the photog wasn't intent on showing off the car, why label it "W222 ****?"
Our member "Lou B" is 91 years old. As such, I vote that he gets unconditional support. His 91 years on this earth has earned my envy and appreciation. And the fact that he's on a computer, spending time on this forum, playing with us kids is all the more impressive!
You go Lou!!

Gentlemen, I shall be forever (wonder how long that might be???) grateful for your support for those of us in outr tenth decade - whether we deserve it or not!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
I do enjoy playing in your ballpark.
To put it in perspective, when I got my driver's license, there were only six NHL hockey teams and only eight baseball teams in each league, and eight NFL reams? Who were the Chicago Cardinals? Who remembers the St. Louis Browns, Bill Veeck, and their midget ball player, Eddie Gaedel, with whom I share a birthday, and the Boston Braves?? My hero was the Reds' sidewinder, Ewell Blackwell, who came very close to matching Johnny Vandermeer's two consecutive no-hitters.

Well said, Carlos!! That's what makes a great forum... Meeting and making good friends like you who won't forget that we are all human, not just simply robots or users behind a screen or someone collecting money or selling a product. That's what makes a great forum.

Y'all stay well!
Good bless.... Take care and wish you the best during your 10th decade; that is impressive. Wishing you many more years and decades of healthy happy life.
Hows this one? I feel like I owe Lou B a better photo
I love white paint on some vehicles though it's not my first choice if I want a garage queen. However, for a benz, I'd rather get a white benz for my next ride simply so I can take it to car washed and not worry about swirl marks showing up like a 5 inch deep scratch!. Our BMW 5 series is white, and it's just outstanding how the pain looks good even after >60K miles and the so many car washes. I think the white looks better on the W223 than W222 for some reason. Still looks great for both cars.

I am a detail and maintenance geek.
i corrected the paint on this and ceramic and exo coated the car.
i avoid car washes due to swirls.
horrifying if your car goes right behind a super dirty car.
all that dirt gets swirled on your paint.
hand wash these beauties only.

White wasn't my first choice, but its grown on me a lot. I wish it was a brighter white that didn't look cream-ish in low light. Diamond White is being replaced this year by a new pearl white that is supposed to be brighter.
I do like how clean and sharp the car looks in nice bright light or under discharge lights
Somebody owes Lou B a bag of dog poop in front of his walker lol
Thanks once again for all the positive and encouraging posts...And thanks for putting up the other photos. Lovely car. Out of the some 30+ cars I've owned for my use, only one, my earlly '80s BMW 633, was white. I've always said it was about the prettiest piece of car sheet metal I ever saw. Drove it until the fenders rusted out.
As far as animal poop is concerned, since the above quote is bull poop, so nothing more is needed. You can always count on at least one poophead in a crowd.

And you're that poophead.
Sorry, I don't subscribe to the idea that simply because you are 91 years old you get a pass for being rude and nasty to people. You were incredibly rude to vinflouen when all he was doing was sharing pictures for all of us to enjoy. Life is hard enough, it costs you nothing to be kind. In your 91 years on earth, you should understand that. You're never too old to learn.

Opinions are like noses - everyone has one. You have legitimately posted yours. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Art posted publicly is subject to criticism, as every poster should know, understand ,and accept. I believe that the reason the original poster put up a second photo was that he felt it appropriate, in order to make his point.
It you will reread the posts for comprehension you will find that I did not mention my age when I critiqued a photo of a car in which you cannot see the car.
Back to the original intent of the thread...I bought my car almost a month ago but have been too busy to wash it while the weather was warm and sunny. Nice chilly day in the PNW today, but with sunshine predicted for the next few days, so I decided to give it a bath and take a couple photos with my phone

Its about tact. Just because you have an opinion on how somebody does something doesn't mean you should share that opinion. Its not art, its not a photography forum, its a picture of the guy's car. You could have been kind or simply said nothing, but you chose to be rude and toxic. Be kind.
