Help Me Decide!

Currently driving my W222 S550. It is in phenomenal condition and almost exactly what I was looking for spec wise. However, it is a 2014 with 90k miles (never would guess that looking at and driving the car). I list all my vehicles for sale that I have at a number that if someone wanted to pay, I'd take it and move on. I did not think I would have so much interest but I do and now I'm in a conundrum. I love the car, but with the miles and age creeping up it scares me a bit. And with the money being waved in my face its hard to say no. Problem is I haven't even decided on a replacement yet. Should I take the money and run, buy a beater in the meantime until I find what I want, or keep her? Possible replacement would be another W222 or a C217.

Well, as I see it, you have two basic choices -

1. Flip a coin.

2. Do what your heart tells you to do.

Having made the decision, forget about it.

A bird in the hand,...

Keep her until you buy sonething else, that way your hand is "forced" to act. Just my humble opinion.

Whenever possible, I buy my replacement first, then sell. However, twice I've been forced into the market, as I've had cars totaled. So I know the feeling of waving goodbye to a car and having cash in my hand; I don't like it! The first time, when my W220 was totaled, I felt pressured to get a replacement, and I made a move too fast. I bought a W212 that I ended up liking but never loving. When the W212 was totaled two years later, I decided to take more time. Ultimately I found my current W222, which I've loved every day, but it took 3 months.

So, my vote is for you to find something you'll love first, then sell your 2014.

Hope that helps!

I think whatever you do ,just don't buy a beater because it's on the cards you would loose money on it much or less . 90K miles is not that much for an S Class . Well, I would keep it
