I just got mine yesterday from Amazon, followed the complete setup instructions, put in my 22 GLC 4matic and I dont see anywhere where there is a way to play with the start/stop. The Amazon site shows an advanced menu but I dont see it on mine. Havn't tried it yet on my 15 S.

Almost the same story here. Received mine today/installed app/setup account/downloaded software/connected to vehicle. It read out an incomplete list of codes stored. The OBD Functions part of the app starts a CanBus Profile identification that always fails. I tried to find where I could actuate the exhaust flaps and couldn't find it. The Start/Stop function I guess is in the OBD part I can't even get there. I tried the FirmwareFix and that didn't fix it. Done. Going to return it.
When following that path this is all I get. First click is on All Systems Diagnostic.
All software has been downloaded. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and redownloaded all software again just to prove the app hadn't failed. OBD Functions option also fails every time when clicked on
At this point you scan for your VIN number. It never finds it so I type it in manually at the step not shown here. I have also tried just selecting Make of Vehicle (Mercedes) which is another option. Both end up on next picture.
I've done all the options here but the only one that gives you a choice of PTCU is the System Selection option which gives you this next picture.

What version of MB module do you have in the app?
Mine says V10.68
Apple and MB version 10.00 for app. It's what gets downloaded when I tap Mercedes at the Store.
We also have different year vehicles.
My seller on eBay just responded and told me " the scanner does not support turn off Start Stop" even though it's advertised.
I don't know what the differences are between yours and mine. I have Model #TKD01 on my ThinkDiag.
The difference must be the iPhone app downloads that older version.
That picture is actually from my dad's S560, which also changed without issue to the coding shown.
My son has an Android and he's coming over tonight. I will see if that theory is true.
If it still doesn't work then I know the seller on eBay isn't legit.
I've contacted ThinkDiag support 2 different ways and got these 2 responses.
1. from in app chat with support - " the IOS will impose inexplicable restrictions on our app "
2. from support at website - " Take a screenshot of abnormal prompt and let us know "
When using chat the first thing that pops up is "you are using an old version of our app, please update to version 3.0.3
I'm using 3.0.2 with no way of updating app thru App Store on iPhone (b/c it's not available)
When I used my sons Android phone everything worked and updated. I got prompts I had never seen, options I've never seen and when the app installed on his phone it downloaded everything I had downloaded before once logged in.
I uninstalled it from my iPhone and tried again but was still stuck with old versions of everything.
I work in the PC business so I'm hoping to come across a customer with an old Android phone or tablet I could use to play with the app some more but it looks like it does everything @VII says it does. Again nice find but I wish it worked better on an iPhone.

Thank you so much for your post. I have been trying to code this out for months. I had and returned 2 scanners that I could not get to work. But with the Thinkscan (was 110.00 and worth it) I was able to update oil reset, and disable Start/Stop on both my 23 C300 Cabrio, and my 23 GLC Coupe. I was only able to disable, wish I could have found last mode, but hey, only took 5 minutes per car.
Little device has been pretty good, also got another good one to share.
You can activate drive program 4h memory as in EU versions in the ESP drive programs section.
Sadly there is no permanent version but 4 hours is quite the improvement.

So if you make this change, when you start your car, it’ll stay in sport mode for four hours. So if you only drive one hour a day, every time you start your car, it will stay in sport mode?

Mine is getting delivered today! Anything that I need to know or is it pretty self explanatory? I'm a pretty tech savvy person and using android but this will be new to me lol
Search this forum and you will find that in almost every sub-forum, for all cars and for ALL generations, not a single person reported an issue with warranty. This is a myth circulated around based on speculations for newer cars than only a real experts have the know-how to do it. If someone tells you your warranty will be voided, even for newer one, he is a liar. Now, can the dealer do so? yes. Have they ever done it? No according to my dealer when I specifically asked the question. Plus, just as a random example, if you have a module that tunes the suspension, it would be foolish anyway to go to the dealer with the module plugged in and complain about a suspension issue. Common sense is all what it takes. All these modules or codes are reversible and dealers have no interest in tracing anything (they want the corporate warranty money to get paid, they'd be happy to grant you a service under warranty).
So true. I’ve been buying new Corvettes and Firebirds since 1980. Been on a dozen early bulletin boards before the forums started all the while discussing various mods, computer exchanges, chips and now coding. I never once heard anyone say their warranty was trashed, voided or challenged after seeking warranty coverage at a dealer.
I bought that Thinkcar OBDII bi-directional code reader device. It was working for me, I thought it was too complicated for occasional use and I had to return it. There has to be easier to use devices that don’t charge high update fees and you don’t have to worry if the service will exist or even offer updates a few years later.
