I am approaching 50K miles and the end of my CPO warranty. Questioning whether or not to buy an extended warranty as we love the car and intend on keeping it awhile. Can any of you chime in on major repair issues that have arisen in the 50 to 100K mile period? A Mercedes service person has suggested that the engine mounts start leaking. Thanks.

Yes, engine/transmission mounts will fail and lower control arms will go at about 80k. I paid $4600 for replacement of engine and transmission mounts. Extended warranty is a good idea. Be sure to check on what the warranty covers.
