2015 S550 turbo leaking oil

Hello. I think I have a failed turbo or a leak that's allowing oil into intake. I will investigate further.

But my question is, if the turbo failed, is this an engine out repair? Still great power and no issues besides the occasional smell.

If the turbo didn't fail, where else is the oil coming from possibly?

Thanks!

It you are smelling it it is likely a seal that is allowing oil to drip onto the exhaust. For the M272's this is a common issue with the oil separator gasket.

I can physically see the passenger turbo is wet. Definitely coming from the turbo area. Curious if there is any possibility of oil coming from the intake and entering the turbo. Most likely, the turbo is leaking. 🫤

I am not familiar with the turbo M278 configuration so I don't have a good visualization. So I assume that the turbo has an oil feed line for the bearings?

There is an oil line to the M278 turbos with O-rings on either end. The top goes into the valve cover, and I bet this is where the oil is coming out.
