2014 S-Class 550 - Which Battery Type Which Trickle Charger

Could someone please advise which type of primary battery is for the 2014 S Class 550, so that I could get the appropriate trickle charger?

Lithium, AGM or Acid? I am thinking of the CTEK - MXS 5.0 and if this is the right charger, which is not a Lithium Battery Charger.

Thanks

I think the primary battery is AGM.

Agree, AGM is standard. CTEK is a good brand. I’ve always used Deltran Battery Tenders, well over 20 years and batteries are always ready.

If I recalled correctly, MB's is basically a CTEK rebrand. https://mbworld.org/forums/coupe-roa...ml#post8548131

I agree with that. My Mercedes brand trickle charger looks identical to the CTEK.

I have several Noco chargers. All of them charge AGM, lithium and conventional LA battery types. Available in a variety of charging capacities depending on your needs.

Among my cars I have a 2015 W222 and I have been using the CTEK units for many years on various cars. Currently I have the CTEK - MXS 5.0 on the S class and it charges the AGM battery fine, there is the AGM setting on the conditioner as well.

Given so many brands (all the way up to ultra luxury like Rolls-Royce) use CTEK, they must be reliable and safe to use.
