One of the last times I was in Los Angeles, was in 1984. There were frequent warnings against surfing and swimming due to sewage spills along the coast, and the LA river pumping all manner of pollutants onto the LA shoreline. I stayed out of the ocean because I had seen the movie CHUD by then.

Few years ago I took a very costly flight to China to race IronMan China.....saw the water, tasted the air....no freaking way I am swimming, riding or running in that mess. Last week I was in Chicago...same there.....

On a positive note, I got a great story about getting bit by a panda bear (I have the scars).....it was almost as painful as the time I tried to touch a camels toe in Cypress.

Yeah - never touch the camel toe unless there is a firm agreement by both parties.
