The other day I saw a picture of an S-class (2016) for sale on the web. It had a clock on the screen. Does anybody know how to do this? I cannot see the analoge clock since I have a phone holder in front of it.

Is that a facelift car? Don't remember ever seeing that on a 2014 -17 model ...

 

No, it wasn't a facelift, it was the 2016 model. The pictures below are from the same advertisment.

 

I think there is a feature called split screen and then you can choose what to display on the left side. That said, isn't the physical (and increasing rare to find) clock better : ) ?

 

In settings you can determine what relevant information is displayed in this area. It can be relevant to what is up on the rest of the screen or you can have a static clock like the one in your picture. No split screen required.

 

That is same way I have the display set up on my 2016 Coupe screen display. You can find the instructions on screen set up in the COMAND manual. If you don't have the paper copy of the manual any longer let me know and I'll try to send you a PDF.

 

I never had a papercopy. The manual was (only) digitally available in the Comand system. So if you have a pdf file: YES PLEASE!
