Question 2018 S350d (w222 facelift) pre-entry climate

Hi all,

Hope y'all having a great day!

I'm new to the forum and a new mercedes owner.

I recently picked up a facelift 2018 s350d, and I was wondering if there's a way to warm up the car prior to departure. I found a lot of info online about a Mercedes Me app, however, I am unable to find it in the google play store, and when accessing it from the web it just loads the default play store page. (I live in Ireland and maybe the app is geolocked).

Instead, I was able to find a Mercedes-Benz Connect app, to which I registered and activated all the bells and whistles. However, I'm still unable to do remote start or remote climate control. I only have the option to flash the headlights from the app.
I checked the paid subscriptions available, however, neither of them contains anything about pre-entry climate control. (Also sent a support message through the app, but haven't received any feedback).

I moved to this car from a 2021 bmw 530e, and all of these functions were available from the getgo in the bmw app.

If it's not possible on the model, I understand, however, it's an s class after all, and I would think there's a way to do this, but perhaps I'm just not looking in the right place.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I can remote start from the app, you must have 1/4 tank of fuel and all the doors are locked to do so. Remote climate control is not an option that I have been able to find, unfortunately. Also, be aware that the engine shuts off when you unlock the door when remote started. I had a 2018 Jeep Wrangler with remote start from the key fob, if the temperature was below 40F it turned on the heated seats and steering wheel, and kept running when I opened the door (I had to press the start button in order to drive), it's a shame MBZ doesn't have those same features
