Music skip while in CarPlay

When I’m using CarPlay and have music playing, is there a button somewhere that can easily skip to the next track? How is the best way to do that?

I mean a physical button in the car. I feel like this is missing or I am REALLY that dumb. The closest I can get to this is using the center button on the touchpad. I’m so bad with the touchpad I prefer to leave it off if possible.

I hate that my last 3 benz vehicles didn't have a physical button to change music on the steering wheel. You can use the touchpad swipe function though. But still, what a stupid design that none of the dozen buttons on the steering wheel can change music. The only workaround though is to set the music profile theme in the center of the driver screen/cluster, and use the left black capacitive touch button on the steering to change music by swiping downward or upward (but u r stuck with only music theme on the center of the cluster).

The best solution I’ve found so far is to use CarPlay where the nav is shown on the left and the music is over on the right. I put my cursor on the SKIP button in the music and leave it there. When I want to skip I press in on the steering wheel or down on the jog dial. Works but kinda NEEDED A BUTTON! 😁

You know, the MB Nav is really growing on me EXCEPT for entering an address. That’s a pain. My MercedesMe / MBrace isn’t working yet so I can’t yet send an address over the internet. Once I can do that, I will probably use MB Nav because I like it being in the dash and the HUD.

That leaves CarPlay free to leave my “cursor” on the skip button. Not too bad.
