Brake Pads

Hi All!
Hope everyone is swell!

I am going to be replacing brake pads soon.
what pads is everyone running?
I like semi metallics and like to stick to Brembo...

I've oddly been very happy with the PowerStop carbon-fiber ceramic brakes I put on all four corners 20k miles ago. Very little dust and excellent stopping power. The OEM pads were like strapping charcoal at each corner and here in the desert made my wheels filthy within a day or two of washing. I do have OEM rotors, as Mercedes rotors are notoriously durable.

The crazy thing about PowerStop is you can get a whole set of pads (all four wheels) for ~$100.

I’ve been running the PowerStops for around 20k miles, and have no complaints. They’re strong, quiet, almost dust-free, rotor/friendly and less costly.

I’ll likely stick with OEM rotors, but I’ll surely put the same pads on when these wear out.

Power Stop pads and rotors here. Stops great, they're quiet and keep the wheels looking great as there's almost no dust.

There was some discussion about the OEM rotors weighing less but there was really no difference between the OEM and Power Stop when I replaced them. The worn OEM rotors were 2 pounds lighter than the Power Stops and I'm certain that new OEM rotors would weigh the same as Power Stops.

Another vote for Powerstops. 10 months into I'm still amazed at no brake dust and same brake performance(pedal pressure, stopping distance, fade).

Yep Power stop rotors and pads. I've got the Z23. 15K miles and no issues. No dust which is a huge improvement and brake pedal is still soft enough, maybe not quite as soft as OEM but enough to allow Distronic to work with no issues. Just make sure to bed them in right. Find a empty parking lot for your initial stops and do what it says in the instructions, thats very important, a lot of people don't do that and then have issues later.

I like EBC Redstuff ... very little dust, strong initial bite and very linear brake feel

Brembo Ceramic. Don't feel any difference between them and OEM except almost no dust.

I also don't hear any squeaky noise when coming close to stop with the Brembo Ceramics . My own W212 has OEM pads (non ceramic ones ) and squeaks occasionally
