ECO Start/Stop disabling
Hello again members.
I apologize if this has already been discussed in the past.
I would like to disable the ECO start/stop function to keep from having to push the “A” button on the console with every start up.
I read something online about disconnecting the ECO start/stop battery but will not touch a thing before hearing from the group.

Hello again members.

That's a rip-off. Dealer price for that year should be $400-450, and you also have an independent locksmith charge you just $275-375.

It was $450 last year. Should have bought it then but wanted to wait for all of the tariffs....
The fob is roughly $650 now and the metal key is another $125.

I literally tried 20 different shops in the Albuquerque area and nobody would touch it. I thought I lost the key a couple weeks ago which is why I purchased the spare.
I'm almost 200 miles from the dealership and had I lost the key, I would have had to tow the car there and leave it with them while they order the key which takes over a week to receive.

MB started to used 4th gen key from 2012-2013, model dependent. so we suggest you make one spare at home at least to avoid this headache.
