Can the navigation screen be replaced without dealer coding
Have a 2017 s350d which my toddler managed to ruin the navigation screen with his toy car heavy scratches etc.
Priced new oem screen part number A2229007007 coming in near 2k euro, i can source a second hand part in excellent condition fir a fraction of that price.
Watched a few YouTube videos looks quite straightforward forward to swap it over, however I'm wondering if it will need xentry coding at the main dealer?
Would anyone know if it will work plug and play or need dealer help?
I can imagine there speedo screen wouldnt be plug and play with regards mileage etc, but hoping navigation screen is a straightforward swap

Yes the screen is just a screen the control module is a separate unit, should be plug and play.

Thanks for all the helpful replies, just popping back to say I completed this very job yesterday in under 30 mins and all is working perfectly now without any coding.
Total cost 320 euro, and i have a spare speedo cluster/screen long way off main dealer quote of 1700 euro for a single navigation screen.
I've also install the below screen protectors on both screen to avoid a repeat of the toddler shenanigan
