Auxiliary Battery

Are you registering your auxiliary battery in a face-lifted W222? Does iCarsoft MB Ver 2.0 have that capability?

Don't think the Aux battery has to be coded. just the main battery.
Might have to resync windows / roof / trunk monkey (if car came with trunk monkey option, but that was a very rare option).

Don't think the main battery gets coded either. Lots of threads on battery replacement and don't remember comments about getting it coded. Replace and done.

I replaced main and aux batteries on both my S-class cars and never coded.

Assumption is the benefit of coding, if any, might be how long the new battery lasts. Since I could buy another battery for what it would cost to code it didn't make sense to me to pursue it ...

Aux does not need to be coded no, starter 12v battery coding is optional, coding really just tells the SAM it is a new battery so it doesn't charge it in a way that it was a bad or old battery, apparently registering to SAM prolong the life of the new battery.

Battery coding tells the SAM it's new, so it charges properly, extending battery life. It's optional but recommended. No coding needed for aux batteries.

No, it is highly recommended to code in a new main battery, this tells the ECU to discard the algorithms for the old battery and will help the new battery last much longer
