S 550e OBD code P13D900

S 550e OBD code P13D900
I got a check engine light on my 2015 550e which shows no other symptoms. Using an OBD reader I see only one code: P13D900 or P13D9. Searching everywhere online finds one hit, in Singapore, which after translating claims it's "Charging cable malfunction P13D900 = Plug cover lock has an open circuit." How do I confirm this? All the other hits are for glow plugs on VW diesels or, maybe camshaft position sensor fault on a BMW.

What about considering clearing the code and seeing if it comes back. Perhaps it was a fluke.

Try locking the car with the cable plugged in. If you don't hear the lock click, that's the problem. The car will still drive, but it may not charge.

Thanks for that. The car charges fully and there are no symptoms of any other problems. The error will not clear with an ODB II reader. I will try to see if it's a mechanical problem.
