MBC camera
Which of the cameras scans the road for the MBC suspension on the s600 w222? Radar sensor 2 and 3 are disturbed by external transmitter according to obd2 reader could this affect MBC?

I believe Road Surface Scan uses the cameras behind the rear-view mirror. Since it doesn't work in darkness, it sounds like it's a purely visual system rather than radar-based ...

Why are you looking after the SMPC camera problem with the information you got from your Scanner-Toy? If you had Xentry, you would see that it's unrelated.

Check page 220 of the manual, "Monitors the road in front of the vehicle using multifunction camera"
Goes on to list conditions in which RSS will not work, like "insufficient light", snow, rain, fog, spray, glare, varying ambient light, etc.

True there might be a few rare circumstances that the systems is unable to evaluate the road but for most of the time it works all the time, even in the dark with the headlights providing sufficient light.

That is interesting. What makes you think it is not working at night?
Even outside of the city streetlights, the headlights provide adequate lighting for the cameras to identify road conditions.
True, there are always limitations such as direct sunlight into the cameras but for the most part, it works at night with the lighting provided from your headlights.
The only time it purposely shuts off is when Sport or Eco mode is selected as a driving mode. That is if you have a ECO mode...my S 65 doesn't know what ECO is

Manual says it doesn't work in dark environments. Kind of ambiguous, but meh. I've noticed mine doesn't do well when driving at night, either, with headlights on. Haven't tried it with headlights off at night, yet.

I have the misfortune of living in a city with speed bumps everywhere ... so I am very aware of when RSS engages and when it doesn't and I haven't noticed one yet that it handles the same way at night as in daylight ...

With that in mind, I will try to pay more attention to the way it rides at night the next time I take it out.
Could it be that your S560 provides a greater difference in perception between ON/OFF with the softer ride of the MB version? My AMG takes the bumps well but has a firm ride all the time even in "Comfort" mode.

The road scan function of MBC does not work at night, that is normal as MB did not fit good enough cameras for nighttime.
