It was but I'm over it. Next time I'll know more about the options and pay more attention. AND next time I'll make sure it comes with 2 key fobs! Paying over a grand for one from the dealership was painful!

Some of the discussion surrounding the warmth and comfort option got into discussion of other options, and standard equipment.
It reminds me back in the day when the great bulk of the cars were being sold by the big 3 and Detroit was the King when it came to car manufacturing.
If you went shopping for a new car, and looked at the window sticker, it was almost humorous some of the equipment listed as standard.
It made me wonder if the steering wheel, and firewalls, and trunk floors were going to be listed as standard equipment.

Yeah really!

Having not had W&C in the S560 and having it in the S580 it’s not that big a deal. Wearing a coat you can’t feel the heated armrests anyways.

Haha that’s true! I remember when I was a kid and we went to the beach in Ocean City, MD we would drive by this motel and they listed “sinks” on their sign as an amenity

Quote: Mine has power rear seats but not warmth and comfort package.
The order guide from every year say the W&C package is required in order to get the "325 Rear seat package"...interesting
I'd be curious if you ran your VIN through mbdecoder.com to see what it says from the factory. My 2017 was a weird build too. It had front seat heating and rear seat heating without the W&C package, maybe that's some standard thing, but I was disappointed when I got it; I bought it out of state. So anything is possible.
902 FRONT COMFORT SEAT HEATERS
872 REAR SEAT BENCH HEATING LEFT UND RIGHT

Is it possible you just don't have it turned on? You actually have to turn it on and can make adjustments to where it heats through COMAND.

Well I'll have to check that out. I do know that there are no buttons at the rear seat controls for heat or cool - just the reclining switches. The car does have the lights behind the rear seats which I thought was just a nice Mercedes touch....

I always thought the warmth and comfort included heated steering wheel and I know I don't have the switch to turn that on which I believe is part of the steering wheel adjuster lever.

Run your VIN through one of the decoders to see the build sheet. I'm really curious about what you find out. Maybe somebody ordered it that way, or took on the challenge of upgrading it themselves. That rear seat lighting around the seat backs is one of the things I love the most in the W222.

That is just weird! My understanding is that the reclining rear seats were automatically heated and cooled. I don't ever recall seeing the reclining rear seat switches with no heat/cool buttons. And I thought that when there was rear ambient lighting at the rear seat backs, then that meant it has heated armrests too. Perhaps the early 2014's were different?

Please post pics of your front seats, rear seats, center armrest, and the rear switches.

That's probably the catch. It's a 2014 model year. Final order guides and connection between packages sometimes isn't fully developed yet for the 1st year of a new generation.

When I was shopping for my S580 I was talking to a broker who swore he could order me a car with exclusive Napa without the power rear seats, which the order guide said was impossible. I figured he was full of ****. Maybe not…

Picked this car up almost 2 years ago. It had 51k miles and looked new! I don't think the trunk had ever been used it was so immaculate.

13k miles later and zero issues. Knock on wood....

You probably have the most interesting build sheet I've ever seen. @S_W222 , I thought " 808A LEATHER/NAPPA/SEMI-ANILINE - GRAY" & "800A LEATHER/NAPPA/SEMI-ANILINE" from his build sheet was the top of the line leather?????

Just looked the the order guide again and for that model year and 2015, option 223/276 are stand-alone options for $1,515. It would have cost another $490 for the heated steering wheel and $620 for heated seats. The full W&C package cost $2600. FYI.

Main thing is...NICE CAR!!!

That is so weird that you have the reclining rear seats but don't have heated or cooled seats in back. I've never seen that before. Based on the super smooth and soft armrests, you should also have the warmth & comfort package. If you don't have that either, it must be a very early build. Have you gone into COMAND to see if you can toggle on the heated armrests?

Yessir I toggled through vehicle settings and there's no setting.

The leather is really nice and shows almost no wear at all.

that I know it’s called the exclusive, trim package on the w222 I meant the s580 I don’t seat a difference in the armrest.
but I gotta have the wood in the back side of the seat on the w223the lights looks so good at night

on the s560 w&c changed the whole back seats and come with led lights
without the option it’s come with a square armrest without powered headrest and no led behind the seats.
like I said before I don’t care about the heat I wanted the look of the w&c seat package with wood and leather cup holders..
btw I never use the seat and steering wheel heat turned on .I just just the heat for my feet
also no cooling on the seats all summer low ac for the feet.

The armrest doesn’t change in the 223 as dramatically as it does in the 222.

W&C doesn’t make that change to the rear seats, the power rear seats do.
