Online Map Updates / Uploading data via Flash drive

I have a 2019 S560 4Matic. I recently added the suite of digital extras for 1 year, paid +/- $145 to Mercedes for it. Had some issues activating everything, and ultimately needed to drop it off at the dealership so they could update the Hermes communication module. Picked it up later in the day and most everything is working fine. I only have one issue, and that is the online map updating. My car is still operating with maps from 2018/2019. The dealership said it would update over the next day or two. Nothing is happening. I reached out to Mercedes Me Customer Support and they sent me instructions to download the “Download Manager” software so I could put the updated map data on a flash drive. Every time I try to go to the website to get the download manager, it tells me that the site is experiencing technical difficulties, and I have to try again later. This has been going on for a week. My question is, does anyone know where to get the Download Manager software? Has anyone had any success putting the map data on a flash drive and uploading it into their 2018 or 2019 S class? I did a Google search for it and thought I had found it on a site called “Fast App”, but when I downloaded it, it did not work properly and I had a hell of a time getting it off my computer. Can anyone offer any help? This is the error message I am receiving on Mercedes Me after following the instructions on how to get to the Download Manager software. Been receiving this message for days.

A couple of things I would try, since this may be a problem on your end.
  1. Disable any VPN you have running.
  2. Disable any pop-up blockers.
  3. Temporarily turn off any anti-virus software you have running.
  4. Try using a different browser, such as Firefox (non-Chrome base), Chrome, or a Chrome derivative, such as Edge or Brave. You could try DuckDuckGo. Brave and DDG have built in filters that you may need to disable or explicitly approve the Mercedes Me site.
Even though the message implies a problem on Mercedes’s end, it may be triggered by something on your end.

What computer and browser are you using?

How did they update the module? Did they update the 3G one for the 4g one? I didn’t even realise that was an option?

A while back I was helping some people with their crypto wallets and connecting to wallet applications, such as Ledger Live or Neon, and those with HP computers had the most trouble. You may want to try a non-HP computer, as well.

Edge is Chromium-based, but you can still try it. With Apple you get Safari, which may also work. Worth a try if you have a Mac.

Browsers that are Chromium-based (i.e., Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc) will behave like Chrome for the most part. Here’s a link to Chromium and Non-Chromium browsers.

W222 from 2019 most likely is equipped with NTG5.5 Head Unit and this could be not enrolled anymore on this portal.

You can find here a lot of happy users of DLM Mercedes ( Download Manager),
