Is Michelin E-Primacy ok for W222?

Hi all,
i am driving 2018 W222 with 245 40 20 / 275 35 20, and for years I haven't find the summer tyre that makes me happy and I used PZ4, PS4. Compared to Hankook winter tyre, day are so noisy.
Choice is really limited in these sizes so there is like 3-4 models max to choose.

Thinking about moving to Michelin EPrimacy and wondering is this suitable tyre for car like S Class? I am driving daily 50-80 Km/h with occassionaly highways 150-160 Km/H, I want to enjoy softness and comfort of S Class, not sport and agressiveness so never actually understood why Mercedes always sells car like this with sport tires?

The E-Primacy is a comfort and efficiency tire. It will be quieter and softer than the PZ4 or PS4, which are sportier. For your driving style, wanting softness and low noise, it's a suitable choice for the S-Class. Just know its grip in wet conditions and at very high speeds won't match the sport tires you're used to. For daily comfort, it should be fine.

will it be noticable in normal driving conditions when road is dry, does it affect safety? and very high speed, is it considered 150 km/h on highway?

Under normal conditions, you will not notice a difference in traction - but you would notice the difference when working at the limits of the tire/car. You may notice that the tire is a bit more sluggish to respond - but nothing unsafe, only less responsive.

On the plus side, it will ride more comfortably, and you should get longer tire life.

At normal speeds on dry roads, you won't notice a difference and it is safe. At 150 km/h on a highway, that is considered a very high speed, and it becomes much less safe.

150kph on the autobahn qualifies as ‘slower traffic - keep right’. If the Michelins are H,Y, V, or Z rated, you’re good > 130mph.

If you want comfort, you need smaller wheels and higher aspect ratio tires (fatter tires).

I just purchased a set of: Michelin Primacy Tour All Season Foam80404 102W XL GOE Acoustic from Tire Rack. The acoustic part means they have foam inside to make the tire quieter. I am convinced it does. These are the quietest tires I have ever experienced. Also they have a soft, comfortable ride. I have had my S550 for over 6 years and am now on my 3rd set of tires and these are far and away the best. Highly recommended!

Several manufacturers are making these new EV-focused tires. General claim is they have to have a quieter tire for EVs. These don't seem to have any ratings yet on Tire Rack, but a handful of positive reviews ... https://www.tirerack.com/tires/miche...acy-all-season

I have the foam-lined Bridgestones on my S63. They are indeed very quiet and have tenacious levels of grip. They are perhaps not the best riding tire though and I will make a move to Michelin when the time comes.

I have winter and summer Michelin sets in above size, but I find them too soft. I will definitely switch to different premium tires.
