Rim retrofit
I've heard that it's possible to retrofit from 20" rims to 18" forged rims on a 2015 S550 but can't find recommendations. Is there a list somewhere?

There is no official master list. You need to check fitment for your exact car's options. Key things: your S550 needs 18" wheels with the correct 5x112 bolt pattern, offset (ET), center bore, and enough clearance for the brakes. Forged options from brands like BBS or HRE will be custom order. Use a reputable wheel shop's fitment guide for W222 chassis cars.

Here is a sample oem w222 18 in wheel part number: 2224013400. You could find the wheel spec information from that.
