When I had my silver S, the chrome surround looked appropriate. I think blacked out on that car would’ve been too much of a contrast. .

 

Tried out a new detail product today, Wet Wax and Gloss Booster from Katiba. Can only get it at The House of Rags. I gotta say this is the best spray product system I have used. The Wet Wax gives it some durability and a wet like shine, you can also choose their Signature Wax if you want a warmer carnauba like look. Then the Gloss Booster is applied on top. Its very slick and adds a ton of gloss. Really makes the flake pop. Applies well with no smearing or streaking, Wet Wax has no smell but Gloss Booster has a Men's Cologne type smell. Also hides some swirls. The S580 paint is in good shape but I also did it to the Pacifica which is pretty beat and it came out well.

Yep, that's what I thought.
Same as mine and I had it wrapped in Xpel Stealth. Love the way it looks.

 

The polished Aluminum look is great. Something different in a world of black wheels.

 

I like black wheels - have them on my Defender, but you are right, something about this combo pops on the S.

 

How many miles... Have you experienced any issues w/ the E Performance PHEV system? Considering an upgrade, but some have voiced some serious concerns.

 

I’ve read the horror stories about problems - but I’d like to think they’ve mostly been worked out. I believe it’s a similar system to what they’ve been running on the 4-door GT’s for a while. Anyway, to answer you question, I”ve only got about 300 miles on mine, so fingers crossed I don’t have any issues. So far so good.

 

Finally got her all cleaned up today...I hate winter.

Steve, that before pic makes my heart hurt. I'm certain there are MANY benefits to living in the northeast, but one downside are the winters and road salts. But as Daniel mentioned, she sure does clean up nice.

 

Some places uses sand, not necessarily better at all.
