Secret Hidden Dealer Menu

Guys has anyone managed to access the Secret Hidden Dealer Menu in the new 2nd gen mbux.

there are many videos on youtube on the method of the 1st gen mbux. but non on the 2nd gen.

I believe some features in my vehicle are locked due to region based issues that I would like to somehow enable such as full digital light functions, traffic sign recognition, fingerprint profile activation, Mercedes me etc,,,

Please share if someone knows the methed.

Many thanks,,

Bur sadly not many things you can control/adjust. More of a diagnostics tool.

For example. I was hoping to turn on DashCam since it’s currently deactivated, but there’s no way to change status to activated. :-(

In the previous generation of MBUX it was pretty useless too!

Dashcam is tied to a software license. The only way to activate that will be through the Mercedes me Store. It'll launch in the US by the end of the year.

I see. Not sure if it is worth it though, I heard it is 720P with no sound from this video but I guess it varies by market.

Again Many Thanks to Eaton, you are awesome !!!!

Too bad I was not able to activate the hidden features.

I was hoping I could activate the full potential of the digital headlights to draw things on the road. Just like the launch cars. and many other options.

I am sure there is a way to activate things in the hidden menu.

Yes, I too was hoping to activate some of the additional features of Digital Light such as the markings for narrow passageway, etc.

The united states are very strict when it comes to approving headlight features.

I am hoping the programmer who managed to enable Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus (they sold it as an OBD module) is able to figure out how to enable the digital light for North American vehicles.

It looks like we don't have Digital Lights in the US. 😕
It's how they look like:

My headlights look different and even on mbusa.com they look different.

In the manual on page 159: "The availability of the functions is dependent on the country."
And check my answer from above. Maybe they just changed the style (only the style) of the headlights because of some prohibitions and Digital Lights will be available later after OTA update? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I truly hope that it is just disabled via software in North America and not simply a hardware limitation. For example, the Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus was downgraded to just Adaptive High Beam Assist via software in North America (but the hardware is there hence why it could be enabled via one of the ODB modules) The high beams turn off completely when there is traffic (Adaptive High Beam Assist) opposed to the European ones that actually turned off individual LEDs that affects other road users while keeping the rest of the high beam on (Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus).

Edit: Question, does the USA W223 have DIGITAL LIGHT written in the light module? (If not, I hope the North American W223 simply don't say Digital Light inside the light module but actually have that function.)

It is a neat feature (or gimmick depending on some people) the hovering on the screen and then using gestures to perform functions are neat. Reaching over to the passenger side and the light turns on is also neat when looking for something at night.

I have so bad news for you.
Unfortunately, in the American W223 there is no Digital Light, because adaptive headlights are illegal in the United States. Check the Canadian web-site. There Digital Light is option and headlights look different. Don't wait for the update.

Digital Light is definitely NOT just a software update/OTA. It is specific hardware which you can tell from the tell tale blue lights array (see pic). So if you don’t have that array (among other internals I’m sure), no way just a s/w update.
Also, I don’t think they are currently approved in US market.

Hmmm, I see oh well, I don't understand why USA regulations don't start to adapt all these new safety technologies, I didn't know Canadian models have it, I haven't seen many W223 on our roads yet. For those I see, I couldn't get close in person to one to check but I checked the MBCA site, yup the digital light does seem to be an available option. However, the description doesn't mention the ability to project signs and symbols so is the function impaired compared to European counterparts, maybe... (it might just be the same as Adaptive High Beam Assist+ without those projections for the Canadian market)

As far as i know… the projection function currently works just in a couple of countries (Germany, Bahrain) that have already changed the laws and regulations to include these new features. I have digital light on my car because the option can be selected on any car ordered in Europe but…… for the moment (until Romania also changes the law) the only difference from Adaptive headlights (that block parts of the light beam in different circumstances) is the nice start-up sequence with the raining lights.
When I travel to Germany the car recognizes that the border was crossed and switches on the projection function but in most parts of Europe there is still no projection and no definite date when it will be available.

I see so at least the car recognizes via the GPS that it is safe to enable the feature so at least it is something that can be changed via an OTA update once the law revises.
