After trying to get used to W223 exterior and interior for 1 year unfortunately my opinion did not change and I still hate this car's look and for me it is the worst S Class ever, so I decided to get W222 Facelift 2020 instead of W223.
Can someone who ride both tell me is there any difference in comfort between these two, do I lose anything in term of comfort if I get 222 instead of 223.

I found the seats in the 223 to be much softer and more comfortable than in the 222

Agreed. Also could not tell difference between nappa and exclusive nappa seats.

You've already stated you think the W223 S-Class is the worst S-Class ever so why do you care about comfort differences?

Agreed, the seats are much more plush and comfortable this generation, the W222 seats weren't uncomfortable, but I found them firm and liked the Audi A8 seats more.

I believe its because other than the base leather (only available on the S500), both Napa and Exclusive Napa equipped models use the same seats and armrests, but with Exclusive Napa, its added to the Dashboard and Door Tops, Door Cards, as well as the Lower Door Bins.

I've had a W222 for a weekend and I've test driven a few W222s. The comfort and isolated feeling of the W223 is close to a Rolls Royce. I've heard some reviewers say the ride is too boat like. I actually like it because it's a big change from my GT which was too stiff at times.

Comfort opinion
Hello,
I recently had my 2020 S560 in for service and was given a 2022 S580 to drive for the day. Initially I was pretty excited about it. It's an amazing car, but in my opinion the W222 is a much more comfortable car in every aspect. The interior feels more relaxing and form and function is better and the car's ride and drive is more elegant. It feels much more isolated from the road and smoother. That's just my opinion. What I thought would have me in the dealership negotiating a trade actually made me much more happy and content with what I already have.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. That contradicts with what I heard so far (specifically when it comes to general comfort and the seats, not talking at all about the interior material quality, the screens, technology and design etc.) so I am genuinely curious. Do you mind sharing us about the packages the loaner had which might had contributed to the experience? If you want, please do share the options your personal car has as well.

The 223 seats are more comfortable than the 222. Softer leather, nice side bolsters.

Be aware standard tires on the S class may be Hankook or similar and be run flats so they do not provide great ride. I always switch to Michelins and they always transform the ride of the cars I have. Did the same for the W222 which was not smooth on the factory Bridgestones which became a ride on cloud with better steering and road noise on Michelins. To conclude that W223 is inferior to W222 has not much mertis as the W223 is definitely alot more smoother than the W222 base on my test drives even on the 21s

Are ‘22 s580s even released? My dealer is telling me sometime in Dec. I imagine the one you were given as a loaner was a 21, not that it would make much of a difference in terms of ride quality or interior.

If I'm not mistaken, S500s have been released but not the S580s.
