Here are some pre-delivery pics! The car is a dream to drive. Its loaded and the active ambient lighting, dynamic massage seats etc are all included. I was only dismayed that there wasnt a 4 zone climate control system in the rear but that comes with the executive package which I think is pathetic for a car of this caliber not to have. My 2021 Audi RS7 has it... Anyways enjoy the pics! Side note those 21s are the summer set and I will be putting on OEM Mercedes 20 inch rims and winter tires on soon. The pirellis on these 21s are terrible IMO but I will be replacing them with Michelins next summer as those are way smoother and quieter on the highways.
For those complaining about quality and interior materials being inferior then the prior generation...I cannot see that at all. Its all of high quality and I am very impressed. I am very fussy and picky. Only thing I dont like is when you pull the door handles on the outside it makes a mechanical sound to disengage so you can open the door. They should of made it quieter. Otherwise the car rides so sublime. The handling, ride feel, smoothness, noise level etc are fantastic. The tech is something I will have to get used to and need to do a quick crash course on it when I do the pick up. The car will have to be detailed and get the 20% tints and front XPEL film soon.

I have a '21 S580 in Cirrus Silver. The car IS beautiful inside and out. I also have no quality issues. Some of the technology seems to get in the way and you can't turn it off permanently. After you dial in the settings the best you can, you will be proud to, and enjoy driving your new car. Congratulations!

Did you discuss with the dealership/request summer rubber? Im hoping my build will be ready soon, I feel like it would be sorta comical if they tried to deliver the car with summer tires in dec/jan in the northeast. Who knows, maybe its a regional thing?

I mean, it looks like you were driving on a road with moderate traffic with cars on both sides and, most noticeably, no hands on the driving wheel!
So, does MB's ''Drive Pilot'' (Level 3 autonomous driving) feature really give you enough confidence to let it drive by itself? If you were, indeed, using this feature, share a bit more about its practicability and usefulness.
Personally, I would not dare unless, perhaps, I am on a no-traffic expressway (even so, I would only do it briefly).
Thank you!!! As for the summer rubber on the 21s that is the standard tire and you cannot opt for all seasons. I will be putting the winters on next week. They may have 21s in all season soon on tirerack.
The car drives amazingly straight in all lanes so I could take a nice picture. There is lane keeping assist which helps keep it centered. I did not get the chance to use the driver's assist but on my RS7 it drives in its respective lane on the highway and keeps respectable distance between other cars and I love using it and I expect the S to be the same. I will be driving it more after pick up later this week.
