Im trying to install Tidal music app to a 2022 S580. My Mercedes Me portal does not show ‘Online Music’ as an option, as the Tidal support page says should be an option. I have SiriusXM loaded on the car but looking to add a higher performance audio source. I’m assuming I don’t have to use Apple Carplay to use Tidal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Not sure how helpful this is, as I don't know the region you're in and thus service availability. However, here it goes for North America, and it took me a looong while to figure it out; it's not intuitive at all.
Center display, Home > Apps > Mercedes me
Scroll left list to Online Music, ensure it's active
Next, go Home > Media
Tap on Online Music as source (1) , then the cog wheel to go to available services (2)
Scroll down to Music Services and enable as needed.
And that should be it. You can then search, access playlists from the quick menu at the bottom of the screen:

I have no idea. I got the Wi-Fi plan for my car for hotspot purposes (which incidentally I still can't figure out how to use since my iphone show no Internet connection on that SSID) but can't tell whether it's being used by the car for streaming purposes. I guess I'll find out when the 1-year subscription expires.

Followed your instructions above, and it looks like you have to have a data package. Under My Services it says available until 01/25. But when i hit the cog wheel i see available services as Amazon and Spotify. No Apple Music. And when i hit the cog wheel a screen pops up that says i must have a data package. With a service provider. So i think i have to get the Wi-Fi data plan in order to use.
Not doing that, as i can get the same services via apple car play.

You know you can use your phone to tether to get your car on the Internet right? either via BT or Wi-Fi. The data plan really is in case tethering from your phone isn't a viable option, or you want your phone to use the vehicle's hotspot instead of its own mobile data plan.
