What does this mean???
@Eaton or @mercedesmax should be able to confirm what the package now entails.
Credit D8E looks to be for the missing Air Balance Package
Credit D8Z is for missing Front Comfort Headrests.
The order guide only mentions this for the comfort package situation:Codes 902-Seat Heating Plus (Standard) and Code 903- Rear Seat Heating Plus (DB0-Warmth and Comfort Package) remain with limited availability until Q1 of 2022. Regular Seat Heating is still available for the vehicle.
DB0- Warmth and Comfort Package and DF6- Warmth and Comfort Launch Package will be replaced with Package code DU3.

$200 off for not having a few gimmicky programs that play music and coordinate the massage and ambient lighting
$350 off for not having the fragrance dispensor that makes the car smell worse when it runs out and takes up glove compartment space
$100 off for *just* having regular headrests.
Wouldn't be a big deal for me.

the mean time, are we to understand that the "comfort headrests" are now Uncomfortable???
I recently took delivery of a new 2022 S580. On the build sheet for this car, one line says “D8Z Credit for Missing Standard: 436 CREDIT -$100.00.” Please see photo.
Please advise as to SPECIFICALLY and EXACTLY what this credit is for. WHAT feature is missing? Please be absolutely specific. PLEASE REPLY BY EMAIL. Thank you.
This was the response I received, again, word for word:
Thank you for your email to Mercedes-Benz USA. Congratulations on the purchase of the 2022 S580.
The 436 option is the Active Multi Contour seats and front comfort headrest. At time of production and still ongoing, MBUSA was experiencing challenges with the availability of semiconductor components due to worldwide shortages which caused the removal of service options on vehicles. Once the parts are available you will be notified to make an appointment at the dealer to have this updated.
Appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Looks like a standard response that does not fit to all queries. Gives the impression that active multi contour seats would be retrofitted once the parts are available. This cannot be true. Applies for cases like the missing communications module.
Thank you for your response, but I do not believe you are correct.
Here is a screen shot from the 2022 S Class Dealer Ordering Guide. It says that 436 is "Front Comfort Headrests." It doesn't say anything about "Active Multi-Contour Seats,” which are Option No. 432.
The dealer told me that the "Missing Standard 436" were the little, loose pillows that attach to the headrest, but my car came with the pillows. So, WHAT are "Front Comfort Headrests???"
