When I was in school I recall my roommate telling me about one of the ways a nuc could fail to detonate, don't remember any of the details but the name was catchy, they call it a fizzle. Feels right.
I never had this car on my radar, to me if I want to have fun in a big sedan the Panamera probably fits better. I am curious though...

I don't recall a failure at this level where the S63 will be released this close to the S class mid cycle refresh

My dealer in Dallas tells me December but he also says they really don't trust MB when it comes to sharing this information. They actually have cars show up randomly that aren't even available to order yet. That's insane. The DOG should always come before the car.

You are correct, no Munrony's. The Munrony's were issued 7-9 days after, simultaneous with the DOG. These were 2024 GLE's and a few G Wagons. Let's see if this happens with the s63e...

My dealer has something from MBUSA showing when the 2024 models should be available (along with the base prices). Here's what it says about the S class:
S500 ($117,300) - Spring 2024
S580 ($128,150) and S580e ($127,750) - Late Fall 2023
AMG S63 E Performance ($TBA) - Early 2024
