Non-AMG vs AMG Line

Hi Everyone,

I'm about to place an order for 2023 S580 and wanted to ask your opinion about the AMG Line . Despite the fact that this is very subjective, I would like to know if you would prefer to keep the non-AMG line and save a couple off thousands or its a MUST when ordering your S-Class? Thanks for sharing!

I have the AMG line on my 2022 S580. I love the way it looks but it’s very subtle. Is it worth the money? Probably not as it’s only noticeable to a discerning eye or most importantly me!

The W223 design is very subtle almost if I dare say a bit feminine. The AMG line gives it a bit more masculinity but tastefully.

23 S580 Executive
I don't check that box here or anywhere else, there will be no replacing my parts with different parts that cost the same but don't work any better and charging me a bunch of ching for it. Nope.

Bubba is still right though, if the look is worth the spend that's all you really need to know. Or at least might be all you need to know; since they didn't make the package a separate option you're locked out of executive and the various back seat goods. You also give up 10 degree rear wheel steering if you want it as that's limited to executive as well. You can still get 4.5 and I'd recommend considering a check in that box if you go AMG.

I prefer the look of the AMG-Line, that being said the Luxury-Line is still plenty stylish. Its all personal preference, that being said, for an S-Class, I wouldn't sweat spending an extra few thousand on a car already well past six-figures. If you want 4.5 degree rear-axle steering or night package, you'll want the AMG-Line.

I have the AMG line for one reason: I wanted the 4.5 rear wheel steering. It makes a big difference in the turning radius and for that reason alone I would recommend it.

Personally I would only spec the car with the AMG package, to me it makes the look of the car.

Personally, I would never want anything “AMG” to do with my daily driver. I want my luxury sedan to look as reserved, refined and elegant as possible. When I see big, huge sedans with “ground effects” body styling, I just laugh, but hey, that’s just me.
