It essentially says that there is an issue with the voltage converter software that can negatively affect the secondary vehicle battery (I assume the 12-Volt battery), which can lead to multiple errors including those to the ESP and ABS. It’s only for 2021 to 2022 model years.

i.e., this probably explains all of the 12-volt battery issues and errors found here.

HMMMM, I mean forum member streamliner's vehicle has this issue, so if this recall came after his car was repaired, is it a coincidence or not? https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post8784766

Speaking of 12V issue: https://mbworld.org/forums/glc-class...not-start.html

I wonder if the problem extends to 2023 model years as well or if the 2023 GLC issue is unrelated.

I don’t know how these cars are designed but I imagine there are probably a lot of similarities when it comes to the 48 and 12 Volt battery and electrical system, regardless of model.

I agree there will be similarities, I am just not sure if the supplying for all of MB's 48V systems are identical, or do MB branch out? So if a batch is bad, not every model in the lineup encounters the same issue?

How many months/years does MB research, develop, and test a new vehicle? Why were these problems not detected and found out before production? This is ridiculous. I also apply this question to all manufacturers, not just Benz.

It's not a part supplier, it's a software that MB writes to integrate it with other components.

I guess given that they had it back in late 2017 but really announced in 2018, it has been 5 years since it was implemented on actual consumer products (and probably a couple of years as well before that for internal testing), although back in 2018 the system wasn't implemented on many models and were restricted to some countries on the W222, it wasn't until I believe V167 GLE is when they had the system on more cars, including the E 53 sedan.
