Does anyone know how to disable the pin requirement when starting the S580? My local dealer set up my Mercedes me connect app on my new iPhone and now I have to enter my pin each time I get in the car. I previously had an android phone with the app {same car} and it did not ask for a pin. Thanks all!

you can add fingerprint, takes one second to authenticate, then won't have to use pin. Otherwise, you can delete it inside your profile.

Face recognition is easier than fingerprint in case one wants to protect personal information like email etc.

If you could walk me through how I delete this s on my profile I’d really appreciate it. I can’t stand having to enter a pin every time I enter and nobody else drives it except me. How annoying!

I never found a way to accomplish this in the profile. I asked my dealer techie to find out how to disable the whole need for an ID for the same reasons as you, just not necessary. He never responded but suddenly my car stopped asking me for a PIN upon startup so I'm guessing he found it at his end and disabled. Just guessing. Much easier without a ID requirement at startup.

Obviously easier without PIN protection but you lose protection for private data when the car is serviced etc.
