S63 standard features
Very interesting by the different rear seat system they have with instead of a rear seat package, the choice for just power rear seats or power ventilated rear seats with none of the rest of the warmth and comfort package. Also cool to see heated back seats as a standalone option for the base bench seat, I hope that trickles to the other models.
I was expecting more things to be standard.

In fact when we went in to configure my order, the power rear seats are now included. I too wanted to add heated rear seats, but in fact heated/ventilated/massage are standard.

'22 Alpina B7,'21 G63 Renntech obviously (wife), Wrangler(kids)
Don’t laugh at me please but after swearing not to buy the new S63 because of it’s piggly weight, I decided to tuck my tail between my legs and go back to my dealer with my hat in hand.
Was supposed to pick up the Sapphire and did not go through with it.
First, they do not take trades (I really don’t want to market my B7 on my own), then they refused to sell me any rims which are a must for me in Chicago, a daily driver MUST have Winter tires.
Their tech also admitted to a complete lack of any parts, any problem, fender bender, cracked wheel, etc would mean the car parked for a long, long time.
My MB dealer put my name on the first S63 they get………..

I've been talking to two different dealers. Today one is saying they can get a changeable spec that will be made in april for over msrp. Another one is telling me they can get one for msrp sometime in the summer.
I feel like 20k over msrp doesn't make sense when they haven't even announced the msrp. But I bought my g64 4x4 squared over msrp and then had it bought back. They then let me reorder and msrp so who knows.

I just realized, the trial prodiction cars/press cars are technically 2023s (iirc correctly the press cars were vins 183XXX, so maybe November 2022 production), which means those cars wont have an official model year in the US and won't be sellable. Huh.

I would think that with performance hybrid tech that the CCBs would be required. Other performance car manufacturers require CCBs with their new performance hybrid tech due to power and torque output. However, in the US it appears they are limiting the speed to 155 mph without CCBs vs Europe with CCBs at 180mph. This heavy car ABSOLUTELY NEEDS CCBs. This is just unacceptable to offer this car without CCBs. The only two things I did not get on my 2019 S63 were the CCBs and the "Magic" solar type sky roof. I wished I had the CCBs as my S63 eats brakes for lunch with a total brake job at a dealer costing $7k. I have already spent $20k for brake pads/rotors at 50k miles on my 2019 S63.
