Thats actually totally a thing, there are limits to how quiet a car can be before it can begin to make occupants feel uncomfortable or sick

I don’t think it’ll make me feel uncomfortable, but I always have music running anyway. I also love how quite my W222 was on highways with the tires I had. Engine was nearly silent, and tires did well, with a well insulated cabin. It was really fun though I know it’s not the best per today’s standards.

Well, those who designed the new EV Rolls-Royce Spectre seem to believe the complete opposite. Arguably the most quite vehicle on earth (drivetrain and cabin noise wise)… well at least according to YouTubers which I no longer believe, but I do believe it for this car in particular or at least won’t be surprised. 400 lbs of sound dampening materials alone!!!….just think about that…

And the engineers who designed it took into account how quiet they could make it without it making occupants sick.

I grew up in a car family; my dad owned the shop at the local Dodge dealer, we went to the drags in various cars he built and raced, we worked on all of them, later on I did extensive work on my own cars and raced those, I read about them almost every day, I'm on the forums, you get the idea.
.
Having said all that: I didn't know that either.

So here's another valid reason for not getting an EV. I have an electric loaner right now while my car is getting serviced and went to run an errand. I thought maybe I'll try out one of the chargers in the lot just to get a real feel of the process. Plugged it up and it gave me an estimate of 30min until full. Set a timer on the phone and ran some errands. I was 1min late when I arrived at the vehicle and I see some guy with a BMW PHEV trying to unplug my vehicle but of course it won't unplug without the key. Since I witnessed it and it's a loaner, I didn't really care that much so I just hand him the plug.
I then walk up to the driver's door and I see someone keyed the car. It was probably the impatient Kia EV owner who I saw pull up just as I left my vehicle to run the errands.
This is a real issue to consider because there are so few chargers that this guy was forced to wait for me to charge for 30min. Of course he gets impatient and angry about it, sees a nice Mercedes and keys it. But even if he waited patiently, he would still have to wait and charge his so he'd be there for an hour or so.

EVs are force fed to the public and are an environmental nightmare in more ways than one. A better continuous renewable source of energy is needed before we kill gas cars. Natural gas has 33% less CO2 emissions is abundant cheap continuous and a better transition than EVs batteries and trillions in infrastructure needed. The EVs push is the biggest scam of the century.
