Mercedes W223 S-class - no internet connection
.I bought my car from Germany and registered it in Bulgaria. Since then, more than 2 months already, I cannot connect it to the internet in any way, so I cannot activate Mercedes Me in the car, I cannot create user profiles, to use Hey Mercedes or to connect the tablet to the car, in order to be able to use clima control and massages for the rear seats.
Unfortunately our local MB dealer also does not know how to fix that issue, so now I have no idea who to ask for support. I have already visited them several times in the last two months - first they made some software updates, then they reset the system and finally they replaced the Ramses communication module… all without success.
Mercedes Me button in the car is working and I can connect the support team which is absolutely worthless. My mobile app is also working fine.
4G symbol is also visible on the screen but the status is always “Connecting…” and that’s it.
If I connect the car to hotspot or wifi router also no internet goes through.
Meantime I also found that I cannot use Apple CarPlay as well - it says: “Apple CarPlay cannot be started. Your device is connected as a bluetooth phone”.
I found on the internet that many other colleagues had the same issue as me and their MB dealer managed to solve that issue, but I can't find anywhere how exactly it was done.
I think that probably there is some kind of regional coding or my VIN is locked at the Mercedes servers, or some update must be performed because the car cut the IP addresses, or the authorization certificates for the VPN connection in the MBUX are invalid and must be reset.
I would be extremely grateful if you can help me, so any suggestions are more than welcome!
