Post 2024 S680 Maybach Silver Mist Edition

Haven't seen this announced anywhere. Seems to now be arriving at dealers. The most expensive Maybach gets a $80,700 "DV9 Maybach Silver Mist Edition" package. Crazy!

I wonder why 4.5 on the rws instead of 10, is that not available on the Maybach?

It's based on the wheel size. Smaller wheel gets 10 degrees, larger wheel gets 4.5.

I have the 21-inch Maybach Exclusive "Champagne Flute" multispoke wheels on mine, and only have 4.5 degrees of RWS. The 19" monoblocks grant you 10 degrees.

Yeah, these started popping up towards the end of December, I've seen about 30 so far. Fourth special Edition Maybach S680, for MY 2022 there was the Maybach 100 Edition, for MY 2023 the Haute Voiture and Virgil Abloh, and now this for 2024. Most built beofre regular production for their model year. This one is the least publicized.

Interesting that on their SUPER-DUPER-UBER limousine, they equipped it with AirMatic and not their vaunted E-ABC that Ola Källenius was raving about in the W223 launch video. What might that tell us about E-ABC? That they STILL can’t get it working as well as the “old fashioned” Magic Body Control???

They also put 21’s on it. I wonder what they would do for the customer who buys THIS W223, if they experience blowout after blowout after blowout………? I can’t imagine.

I’m sorry, but the Maybach, in my opinion, is still just an S Class, with a bit more rear seat legroom, some extra cosmetic doo-dads and a V12. It’s just not special enough for the price they want—but then, I’m not their target audience for this car, am I?

It's not that deep. The V12 can't be had with e-abc because the V12 isn't a 48 volt and the e-abc needs 48 volt. My god

I did not know that, but “my god?” You might want to do an edit.

Lots of hate for Maybach it seems. While I don't think the Silver Mist Edition is worth the $85k premium (I was offered one and passed), I've put >6,000 miles on my 2024 Maybach that I've had since November. It's been problem free, and my 21 inch wheels have been just fine -- I don't know why there's so much hate for 21's above.

Glad you are enjoying your Maybach. As for the "hate" of 21" wheels, check out the thread in this forum entitled "21" wheels & tires."

I do like my Maybach more than a Flying Spur. Makes sense to me!

Beautiful car. More old school than the Maybach. It was a 2023 so the owner didn't have it for long. Maybach is bigger. I think the technology is better in the Maybach.

How about smoothness, ride quality and quietness?

Get what? We had a Silver edition Maybach, we sold it. Guy traded a 23 Flying Spur. We sold that to a used car dealer in CA.

Are you a dealer? If so, I was not aware.

As for the Maybach not being special enough for what they want for it, compared to what? Its a lot cheaper than something like a Bentley or a Rolls Royce...
