Aww maaan, I'm trading in all my cars for a Purosangue in red just like this one, but with matte black trim like the blue one. Then I'm going to drive it to Walmart every single day.

I had the SQ8 and hated it. They took the relatively pleasant Q8 with a nice V6 and dropped in a V8 without touching the transmission or programming. The thing lurched around and the auto start-stop was a disaster. That was a 2021. Not sure if they fixed it, but in between two S classes, the SQ8 was an unpleasant 10 months.

Nice V12 SUV. Not enough space for Hunting Gear. Would have to ship long guns cross country or buy a Massive Safe for buddy in Augusta, GA to store copies of my Favorite Rifles and Scopes. It's only money if hypothetically I can afford a Ferrari in the first place?

I dunno, I was thinking there was enough room n the back for fishing gear. So I'm going to need a yacht too I guess. Yeah, maybe I should just buy that 5% certificate of deposit instead... oh well.
Adding HFCVs to Mercedes' selection of cars makes sense as the support for these vehicles grows. Your idea that HFCVs should be added alongside EVs in Mercedes’ worldwide range, instead of replacing them, is a good point.
Mercedesbuff, can you please elaborate further on the differences between the GLS and S. Since you own both I would really love the further hear your thoughts. Thanks!
Sure. It mainly comes down to two categories:
(1) NVH. The GLS either produces or permits noticeably more "noise, vibration and harshness," into the driving experience, compared to the S-Class. It's clear that more engineering time and/or more development money was spent on the S-Class, in the NVH department.
(2) Interior Materials and Switchgear. The lower door panels that attract permanent scuffs/scratches, the cheaper-looking dash material (even with MB-Tex uppers), the cheap-feeling button release to open the center console, the never comfortable 2nd-row headrests (even with captain's chairs), etc.
Again, I'm not a GLS hater... I really like ours. It's the "E-Class of SUVs," with a 3rd row. The E-Class is a fine car. The GLE/GLS is a fine SUV.

Hope that helps.
Sit in the driver's seat of a GLE vs GLS and you would be none the wiser. They are quite literally the same besides the 14" or so of extra boot at the end of a GLS. I would have loved a GLS if it was actually S-class-like but sadly it is not.
This morning I drove past an Urus in Grigio Telesto, what a great looking car. Somewhat understated from a distance, then the drama builds as you get closer.

Oh slight correction, there IS a new 666 HP Lister Stealth. I'm not sure it's worth $150K or more though. A quick VelocityAP tune gets mine to 605 HP so not worth it to me anyways. She sure is purdy tho:
Here is a post from today where an Urus owner makes a few TGT vs Urus comparison comments. Read through the thread and Urus and other comparables are mentioned.

If Bubba's buying I'll take a green Performante so I can try rally mode on dirt. Sounds like it might be fun to go all Dukes of Hazard in a $270K SUV. Yeeeeehaaaaaaw!

My 2024 F-Pace has the same dash with curved infotainment screen. Pity Jaguar never updated the interiors of the F-type and I-Pace to be as nice. They both seemed one generation behind all of JLR's other vehicles.
Anxiously awaiting the electric Range Rover! My EQE SUV might go bye bye.

Just for completeness, the Maserai Levante with Ferrari V8. Definitely one of the best looking with the hood open. Too bad they didn't dress up the interior as nicely as the engine bay. I like my Jag's interior much better and it's $75K less expensive.
